The Secrete Recipe

Since the creation of Jägermeister in 1934 the original recipe has not been changed. Selected herbs, blossoms, roots and fruits from all over the world were selected for the secret recipe. The well-kept secret Jägermeister recipe is brought to life by our distillers.

Maturation Process

Around 400 mighty oak barrels are used to store the Jägermeister base at our Wolfenbüttel plant. The Jägermeister base can “breathe” in these barrels and matures in peace for about a year in order to fully develop its aroma.

Our bottling plants in both Wolfenbüttel Linden and Kamenz add pure water, alcohol, caramel and liquid sugar to the Jägermeister base and it is then filled into the well-known green bottles. Our Machinery and Plant Operators guarantee a smooth bottling process.
